Tanny Kornele

May 29, 1931 - July 13, 2007

James Nelson, son of Grace Mabel (Hayes) and Earnest E. Kornele was born on May 29, 1931 near Freedom, Oklahoma. He passed away at the Grace Living Center in Woodward, Oklahoma on the 13th of July at the age of 76 years, 1 month and 15 days. He attended and graduated from the Freedom School System. He farmed north of Freedom with his parents. Tanny was married to Jo Celia Lord on September 25, 1951 in Clayton, New Mexico. To their marriage six children; Tyresa, Janet, Rosetta, Tammy, Rhonda and Nelson Ray were born. Following their marriage they farmed and ranched north of Freedom. Working at the Camp Houston Oil Company and the Woods Soil Conservation Office. He also helped his brother Joe with his roofing company. Mr. Kornele was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers; Abby, Joe, Dick and Cowboy. Tanny is survived by five daughters; Tyresa Daughhetee of Freedom, Janet and Mark Snow of Amarillo, Texas, Rosetta Kornele of Okarche, Oklahoma, Tammy and Larry Martens of Earlsboro, Oklahoma, Rhonda Mitchell of Freedom and a son, Nelson Ray of Freedom. Eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren a sister; Ruth Wood of Alva, a brother and his wife; Bill and Geneive of Clayton, New Mexico and number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
