Olive Potter

Olive Blanche, daughter of Lula (Haney) and Paul Dornon was born on March 31, 1915 in Dodge City, Kansas. She passed away at the Alva Beadles Nursing Home on the 23rd of April at the age of 92 years and 22 days. She attended the Dodge City School system and worked in a Cafe. Miss Dornon was married to Donald R. Potter on December 30, 1937 in Alva, Oklahoma. Mr. Potter passed away on April 25, 1991. Following their marriage they made their home in Kiowa, Kansas. Mrs. Potter is preceded in death by her parents, three sisters: Edna Crawford, Clara Dornon, and Jessie Knight; and a brother William Dornon. Olive is survived by four daughters: Roberta and her husband Durand Linscott and Lu Winters both of Wichita, Kansas; Donna Potter and Catherine and Billy Stewart both of Alva. She is also survived by six Grandchildren: David Linscott, Lori Martin, Linda and John Hinson, Billy Don Stewart and Elizabeth and Todd Igo; and three great grandchildren: Tyler Linscott, Brett Martin, Luke and Eli, Avie Igo.
