Arthur L. Son of Jane (Meyer) and Loren Britcher – was born on March 7, 1923 in Clarence, Iowa. He passed away at Integris Bass Hospital in Enid OK on 4 March at the age of 98 years, lacking 3 days of his 99th birthday. He attended schools in Muscatine, Iowa. He served in the Army Air Corp. from 1943 to 1946 during World War II he was a Staff Sergeant, a top turret gunner and engineer on a B-17. Mr. Britcher was married to Charlene Kallenberger on May 4, 1946 at the first United Methodist Church in Muscatine, Iowa. To this union two children Eloise Kaye and Pamela Jo were born. Following their marriage they lived in Muscatine, Iowa. In 1961, they moved to Littleton, Colorado where he worked as a custodian at the Plum Creek elementary school. He retired in 1991 and they came to Alva to live and he started working at Wharton funeral Chapel. He was a member of the Mount Zion Lutheran Church in Castle Rock, Colorado And the Alva Zion Lutheran Church in Alva OK Arthur was preceded in death by his wife on March 24, 1998, his parents, five sisters and four brothers. He is survived by his two daughters, Eloise Kaye Randolph and her husband Geoff, of Chicago, Illinois and Pamela Joe Silver and her husband Tom of Enid, OK six grandchildren, Valerie and her husband Kenny, Jeremy Anderson, Kenda and her husband Donnavon, Sallye and her husband Ricky, Amanda and Brenton and his wife Summer; 16 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, a brother, and a number of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends
