Edythe Bradt

May 27, 1931 - March 1, 2008

Edythe Ailene Bradt daughter of Marvin and Ruth Burket was born May 27, 1931 at Douglas Arizona and passed away from this life March 1, 2008 at her home after a lengthy illness at the age of 76 years, 9 months and 5 days. Edythe graduated from Burlington High School in May of 1949 and Northwestern State College in 1954 with a B.S. Degree in Education. She taught Business Education in Lewis and Sylva, Kansas and Freedom, Oklahoma. In June of 1959 she was married to Harold Harris and to this Union one son, Darin Lee was born. August of 1967 she and Darin moved to Freedom where she taught business Education for 20 years. On July 11, 1969 she was married to Rex Bradt at the Freedom Christian Church by the Reverend Edd Painter. Edythe was a member of the Freedom Christian Church, Order of Eastern Star, NEA, OEA. She was Freedom Teacher of the year and Woods County Teacher of the year. She leaves to mourn: her husband Rex of the home; a son and his wife Darin and Denise of Yukon. Three step children and their spouse; Gary and Teresa of Freedom, Myron and Charlene of Alva and Annetta and Charles McIver of Spearman, Texas. Two grandchildren, Christopher and his wife Kelly and Kevin Harris. Nine step grandchildren and their spouses; Tabitha and Shane Justice, Jarrod and Jodie, Nicholas and Cara, Lisa Bradt all of Alva, Dawn Loomis, of Amarillo, Texas, David Thompson of Oklahoma City, Ryan Pata, Teresa McIver all of Perryton, Texas, Bub and Jessie McIver of Olton, Texas. Six great grandchildren; Braylon and Brickman Bradt, Colton and Bryce Juarez, Emily and Grace McIver also many other relatives and friends. PDF Printable Version
