The services honoring and celebrating the life of Donna Mae (Stewart) Morrow who passed from this life at the age of 79 years, 11 months, and 20 days will be held at the Alva Zion Lutheran Church. Donna was born March 1, 1936 in Anthony, Kansas to Marvin and Helen (Giggy) Stewart. She passed from this life, Feb. 20, 2016 after a lengthy illness. She was raised and educated in Amorita, Oklahoma (where she was a proud member of the 1954 Regional basketball team) and attended college at OSU and NWOSU. She graduated with a B.S. in Education. Donna married Charles Morrow in 1980. In 1983; they adopted a son, Scott Lee. The family lived and farmed for several years north of town before moving into Alva in 2002. Donna was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church. Through her lifetime she held various jobs, including driving a tractor, field work, school teacher, bookkeeper, secretary for the OSU ext. office, farm wife, and an Aunt and Mom. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmie & Ruth Stewart; sister & brother-in-law, Mary & Bill Alexander; nephews, Teddy Wayne Stewart, Michael Eugene Alexander & Nathaniel Levi Stewart, nieces Cathy Jane Cannon & Trinity Ruth Stewart. Donna is survived by her husband Charles Morrow, son Scott Lee Morrow & partner Jesse Temple of Brooklyn, New York; sister Shirley (Richard) Mutschler of Raleigh, NC; numerous cousins; nieces, nephews and friends. Services will be at the Alva Zion Lutheran Church, Thursday February 25, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be at the Byron-Amorita Cemetery at 2:00 P.M. Memorials can be made to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, or the Zion Lutheran Church Building Fund in lieu of flowers.
