Charlene Graham

February 15, 1920 - February 17, 2008

Charlene, daughter of Bertha (Stephens) and Charley Lamaster was born near Laverne, Oklahoma on February 15, 1920. She passed away in Goddard, Kansas on the 17th day of February at the age of 88 years and 2 days. She attended a rural grade school and high school. As a teenager she lived in West Plains, Missouri. Miss Lamaster was married to Dillard Graham on December 29, 1950 in Woodward, Oklahoma. To their marriage two sons, Melvin and Loy were born. Dillard passed away on November 21, 1991. Following their marriage they lived in Laverne and in 1956 went to Meade, Kansas. In 1969 they came to Alva to make their home. She worked at Beadles Nursing Home as a Certified Nurses Aid and as a Med Tech. Mrs. Graham was married to Harold Hayes on October 31, 1994 at her home in Alva following their marriage they lived in Alva. Mr. Hayes passed away on September 22, 1997. On Thanksgiving weekend in 2000 she moved to Wichita, Kansas. Mrs. Graham was a member of the Trinity Church of the Nazarene. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Clarence and Ray Lamaster and Glen Nixon. Charlene is survived by her two sons, Melvin of Allen, Texas and Loy of Wichita, Kansas. Two grandchildren, Leann Graham of Ottawa, Kansas and Jason Graham of Carrollton, Texas and a brother, Bob Nixon of Florida. A number of niece, nephews, other relatives and friends.
