Vicki Ann Fields

Vicki Ann daughter of Claude Adams and Katherine (Farrell) Adams was born November 7, 1937 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She departed this life to be with her Lord, Monday, May 20, 2019, at her home, at the age of 81 years. She was surrounded by her children and her beloved husband. Vicki was raised in Oklahoma City, graduating from John Marshall School in 1956. She was baptized into Christ, at the Church of Christ, in November of 1954, and served her Lord faithfully until her death. On June 15, 1956 she married Gray Fields in Oklahoma City. They spent their early married life in Oklahoma City, and in 1967, they moved their family to Durango Colorado, where they made many happy memories. After 36 years in Colorado, Gray and Vicki retired in Alva, Oklahoma in 2003. Vicki was sweet, kind and caring; always putting others before herself. While living in Durango, she enjoyed delivering Meals on Wheels weekly, and mending at the nursing homes, with a group of church ladies. She enjoyed painting, crafting, sewing, and decorating. She was hospitable, and loved having people in their home for meals, Bible studies, singings and games. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was interested in their lives and they were all in her prayers often. She will be dearly missed by those loved ones. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and brother-in-law, Saundra Gee and her husband Kenneth, a grandson Kendall Avaritt and a great grandson Ethan Box. Vicki is survived by her husband Gray, of the home in Alva; a brother, Bob Adams (Carol) of Great Neck, NY; sons: Kevin (Rhonda) of Alva, Mark (Sheaner) of Perry, OK; daughters: Cindy Darnell (Mel) of Amarillo, TX, Kelli Avaritt (Ken) of Harrison AR; grandchildren: Michelle Box (Koh) of Justin, TX, Dustin Darnell, of Amarillo, TX, Grayson Fields (Cambra) of Pryor, OK, Brent Darnell, of Amarillo, TX, Katie Taylor (Jesse) of Clarksville, AR, Landon Fields (Emily of Alva, Trey Avaritt of Harrison, AR, Lucas Fields of Pagosa Springs, CO, Jordan Fields of Durango, CO and Brady Fields of Grand Junction, CO; great grandchildren: Dalton, Clabe, and Louisa Box of Justin, TX, Zoe Fields of Pryor, OK, Josie, Evie, and Sadie Taylor of Clarksville, AR, Addison Fields of Alva, Mya and Bently Fields of Durango, CO.
