Loween Maynard

View the image gallery -- View a Video -- Loween Kay, daughter of Gerald and LaVona (White) Budy, was born on November 5, 1944, at Alva, Oklahoma. She was lifted up by Jesus to her heavenly home on June 12, 2008, at the age of 63 years, seven months, and one week. Loween attended school in Dacoma, Oklahoma, where she graduated as valedictorian of her class in 1962. She became a loving mother to David on September 6, 1965. She was united in marriage to Jesse Maynard on July 14, 1972, in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. She was a dedicated employee of Long Motor Corporation for 22 years. Loween faithfully attended Heartland Christian Fellowship in Overland Park, Kansas, were she served as nursery secretary. Her unconditional love led to her success as a loving wife, mom, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Loween was preceded in death by her father, Gerald, on December 24, 2003. She is survived by her husband, Jesse, her son David Zahorsky and his wife, Tammy of Olathe, Kansas, her mother, LaVona Budy, two sisters, Jeanene Hofen and Sheri Bushman and her husband, Dennis; a sister-in-law, Darlene Busey and her husband, Bruce, two brothers-in-law Jim Maynard and his wife, Rita, and J.D. Maynard and his wife, Michele; nieces Janita Hofen, JoVona Matthiesen and her husband Gregg, and Jaime Ricke and her husband Craig; nephews Jay Don Hofen and his wife, Karibeth, Jeff Hofen and his wife Sharon, Jared Bushman and his wife, Rachel, and Jonathan Bushman and his wife, Jana two cousins and their spouses, Terry and Jane Budy and Carolyn and A. J. Rexroat. Also surviving are two step-daughters, Linda Maloukis and her husband, Tim, and Laura Link and her husband Randy; four step-grandsons Jason Schwien and his wife, Shannon, Josh Schwien and his wife Jennifer, Jacob Schwien, and Wes Stecker and his wife Erin; one step-granddaughter, Darby Stecker; and four step-great grandsons Nolan, Jesse, David and Will; one step-great granddaughter, Jenna; and Loween's special "furry" friends, Andy and Sasha; a number of other relatives and many friends.
